Pope Pius IX sent a sculpture for its inauguration. It
was inaugurated on 15 October. The chapel existed for about 90 years. Its
stones were taken away after World War II. A large cross was also erected here
and destroyed after World War II as well. Inhabitants of the city had it
erected again at its original location in 1995.
Kőhegy chapel
The Kőhegy is situated in the centre of Budaörs and offers a great panorama of our city. The chapel built by Ferenc Wendler in 1855 used to be on its top.
