Some very valuable
gravestones are those with a heart-shaped oval form and made from crystalline
sandstone at the turn of the 18th and 19th century (the
oldest being from 1753). The oldest gravestone is that of parish-priest József
Mertinger, died in 1782. The cemetery has trees like in a park and is a
National German Memorial Place.
Old Cemetery
The abandoned graveyard contains graves from the period between the 18th and 20th centuries. It was inaugurated in 1755 and used up to 1980. The graves of similar types with tables (their material is sandstone, limestone, red limestone from Tardos and cast stone) provide a uniform appearance to the cemetery.
